Manchester foraging & wild food walk - Chorlton (Lead by Danielle Satterthw...
Sat 8 April 2017, 13:00 – 16:00 BST
This spring foray will aim to help you identify the main species of edible wild plants that are in season and how to differentiate from poisonous species. We will discuss how to prepare and use them for food or medicine. It's possible we may also find seasonal fungi.
The walk is being lead by Danielle Satterthwaite, and will take approximately 3 hours, we will start by meeting in the car park. From there we take a leisurely stroll around the park stopping to discuss anything of note. There will be opportunities to taste things we find and you can collect samples to take home and experiment with.
There will also be the opportunity to try some herbal tea from wild ingredients, either what we find on the day or things I bring with me.
The walk is easy going so children are welcomed on the course, dogs are permitted but are the responsibility of the owner and must be kept under control.
Any questions please ask.
