Following on from our Music Technology themed tea party, we'll be continuing with our annual Christmas Party. We'll be getting together with our lovely friends from ScienceGrrl, and this year we're joining up with other tech organisations from around Manchester to have a giant party knees-up festivity-based do. We're at MadLab, who are kindly hosting us for the event.
The festive fun will include:
- Food and drink - our wonderful hosts MadLab have offered to provide food and some drink, although you are welcome to bring home-baked cake and any other alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages you'd like
- Music and dancing, in the conventional party style
- Wii games, board games and probably party games (maybe werewolf later on?) - if you're happy to lend them out, please bring along your favourite games
- Swag table - we have some leftover stuff from #BraCamp, and if you'd like to donate anything for the swag table, or put out info about your organisation or events, please do
We'd love for you to join us! We'll be updating this page with a full list of partner organisations joining us for the party as we have more info. If you have any ideas about how we can make the party awesome and would like to help do so, please get in touch. Otherwise, we'll see you there!
As for our previous party event, we're offering tshirt tickets, so you can pay for a Girl Geeks lovely grey tshirt in advance, and collect it on the day, to save you bringing cash.
We've started a Christmas Spotify playlist to play at the party - please add to it. Songs don't have to be Christmas themed, just anything to get us in the party mood.
The Christmas Party will be on the ground floor of Madlab, which is wheelchair accessible. The event will be suitable for adults and families, and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. If you have any other questions or access needs, please get in touch.

While our events are aimed at girls and women of all ages, we are happy to welcome boys and men - though it would be great if you could bring a girl geek along! Please note that children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
