Description

In this full day session, we will cover three areas:

5 Cohesive Behaviours of a Team (3hrs): Introducing Patrick Lencioni’s 5 Behaviours of a Cohesive Team, we’ll discuss what a High Performing Team looks like, identify current challenges within NR and run through the 5 Behaviours Model

  • Trust: Team members are genuinely transparent and honest with each other, and are able to build vulnerability based trust.
  • Conflict: Engage in healthy debate, when there is trust team members are able to engage in unfiltered, constructive discussions.
  • Commit: When a healthy debate has taken place, and ideas have been heard and considered, team members are more likely to commit to decisions, even if it’s not their decision.
  • Accountable: When everyone is committed to a clear plan of action, they will be more willing to hold one another accountable.
  • Results: When all the other behaviours are taking place, the team can now focus on collective results.

This model is used to help team members identify the attributes of high performing teams and learn to work together more efficiently and effectively: Resulting in, making better, faster decisions, tap into skills and opinions of others, avoid wasting time and energy on politics, confusion and destructive conflict.

Crucial Conversations (1.5hrs): A lot of people will typically put off having a difficult conversation as they don’t know where to start, feel uncomfortable and fear it may damage relationships and/or have some kind of reprisal. In this session you’ll learn when and how to have that crucial conversations, how to make the conversation ‘safe’ and be able to talk to anyone, about anything, at any level and being able to express how you truly feel without holding back.

Six Thinking Hats (1.5hrs): Six Thinking Hats is a lateral thinking process and a technique that can be used for exploring different perspectives towards a complex situation or challenge. If you’ve ever been ‘lucky’ enough to be in a meeting where there’s hidden agendas, high emotions, people over talking each other and not listening, then leaving an hour or more later without any resolution or actions, this is the course for you. Six Thinking Hats ensures that people are collectively focused on one issue at a time, be it facts, opportunities, obstacles, workarounds and feelings. Six Hats ensures that all views are heard and considered. That everyone is looking and thinking in the same direction, making smarter and more effective decisions whilst keeping everyone involved in the decisions making. This makes a collaborative team who gets quicker results.

Lunch is not provided during this session but feel free to bring food into the classroom, this training is run as an informal session.
