Pi Camera Workshop
Get started with the Raspberry Pi camera, then experiment with adjusting and editing images using Python.
The event starts at 10:30am. Newcomers to Raspberry Pi should attend the workshop which starts at this time, for everybody else there is a short introduction talk

What you'll need to bring
All equiptment is provided for the Workshops.
For the main room, we have a limited number of Pis available, so please bring your Pi and its power supply if you have one. (The Pi uses a USB phone charger, so it's useful to bring one even if you wish to borrow a Pi)
We have plenty of monitors, keyboards and mice, so you don't need to bring these
Food and drink is provided throughout the day
Digital Innovation is a new initiative form MMU, situated in a refurbished engineering shed on the MMU city centre campus.
Digital Innovations new home The Shed will become an innovation venue for the whole of Manchester's technology sector. It will be a place where you can encounter new technologies and new thinking, develop new relationships and business opportunities and above all, it will be a place where you can find new ideas.

Manchester Raspberry Jam
Since the Raspberry Pi came out, Raspberry Jam events have sprung up all over the world. Manchester's Madlab hosted the very first one in June 2012, run by founder Ben Nuttall.
Raspberry Jams are family friendly events for people of all ages and abilities. Come along if you want to learn how to get started with a Pi, work on a project, demo something you've made, or just to collaborate and chat among other Pi users.
