Activities for June 2016
All-day Activity: Show and Tell
This month, we're holding a show and tell event to coincide with events being run for European City of Science 2016, where we'll be holding a big display of interesting Pi projects, made by creators from Manchester and beyond.
As always, we'll be running our regular Jam in conjunction with the show and tell event. The jam will be held in the Annex (workshop room), so tickets for this month will be more limited. There will be no separate Workshop this month, but we'll be around all day to help you out with any projects you're working on.
If you'd like to invite somebody to the show and tell portion of the event, send them to this page
All-day Activity: Calling all Robots
Running for most of the day, we have an assault course for robots. Try and retrieve one (or more) of the eggs dotted about the course, or just get to the finish in the shortest possible time. Your robot may need to be agile as some of the spaces are a bit small.
There will be a modding area so you can make adjustments to your robots to assist in the capture. We'll also be providing a robot of our own, in case you don't have your own robot.
Regular Schedule
The event starts at 10:30am.
- 10:00 - Doors open
- 10:30 - Introduction talk
- 13:00 - Lunch (Jam attendees only)
- 17:00 - Event ends
What you'll need to bring
For the Jam, we have a limited number of Pis available, so please bring your Pi and its power supply if you have one. (The Pi uses a USB phone charger, and it's useful to bring one even if you wish to borrow a Pi) We have plenty of monitors, keyboards, and mice, so you don't need to bring these.
Food and drink are provided throughout the day.
