This Saturday's supper club is an Autumn-flavoured night filled with lots of yummy cold comforts like a warm chocolate martini with a toasted homemade marshmallow, or our sweet pumpkin soup with salty and sharp salami tortellini, or our ultimate snuggly pud: sticky toffee plum pudding, loads of custard, deep fried crisp apple beignets (okay doughnuts) and blackberries. Its like Autumn in the 80s.. just without the fingerless fluorescent gloves..
As usual all our produce is sourced from Manchester's wholesale fruit, vegetable, fish and meat provider, New Smithfield Market. We are used to serving the workers and buyers of Smithfield at 2am.. now we're opening our doors at a reasonable hour! Everything is made from scratch, on site, using the finest produce Smithfield has to offer. Not necessarily local, not necessarily in season, but just the best the WHolesale market has to offer. Warm Chocolate Malt Martini with a toasted marshmallow float.
Berni Inn Canapé Combo: Deep-fried breaded Roasted Garlic and Chestnut Mushrooms with Thyme mayonnaise.
Prawn Cocktail with brown bread and lemon.
Pumpkin soup with Salami, Ricotta and Sage Tortellini.
Home-smoked Sea Trout with roasted Beetroot, Sorrel, Horseradish and Cob nuts.
Venison, Game, Fig and Rosemary Pithivier (okay its a pie..) with charred Radicchio, Romanesco cauliflower and a game gravy.
Mild Goats cheese, sun-dried tomato & rosemary tapenade, chargrilled aubergine, courgette & red pepper, fig and puff pastry. Served with a robust red wine and tomato gravy.
Sticky Toffee Plum Pudding, Apple Beignet, Blackberries and Custard.
Boom! Its £30 per person, with a £10 deposit to reserve your seat. Its still BYOB, so you'll need to bring your favourite tipple to self-spike your welcome hot chocolate and of course the lorry-load of wine you'll want to consume during the course of the evening.
