Manchester's Modernist Heroines Walking Tour

Due to unprecedented demand Morag Rose is pleased to announce that she will be running another Modernist Heroine's Walking Tour. The walk takes inspiration from ten remarkable women with connections to Manchester and the region Whilst celebrating their achievements, Morag wil also uncover hidden histories and power relations which have shaped the modern city,
So please join us for tales of explorers, aviatrixes, archictects, artisits and more to reveal the valuable role women have played in defining and resisting dominant perspectives of the city.
The tour will commence at 2pm starting from Ken Yasouda's Touchstone sculpture located at the entrance to the Bridgewater Hall in central Manchester. The tour will last for two hours and will end at the People's History Museum on Bridge Street, where folks are welcome to join us in the cafe for a chat and a mug of tea.
Places strictly limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. As usual this is totally free!

Participants are advised to wear sensible walking shoes and to dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions. The walk is accessible. Participants to take care when crossing roads and should keep to pavements where possible. Please pay attention to uneven and slippery surfaces.
