Event description

Description

Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means 'the Universe and everything in it'. Mandala's origins flows from Buddhism and Hinduism but Mandala and other similar intricate designs have become hugely successful in meditative and mindfulness practice.

In this 2.5 hour Workshop, you will design and paint the colour scheme of your own Mandala creation.

We will teach you artistic colour wheel theory using using guided examples to demonstrate how to mix and match colour tones to create your own beautiful design. This theory is easily transferable to other art work.

All materials will be provided for the course and you will leave with your own beautiful piece of Mandala artwork.

We will use watercolour pencils and water brushes and teach you the techniques to use them effectively to blend tones and shades in your design.

We will provide a choice of Ubie's bespoke Mandala template designs printed on high quality 300gram, 30cm by 30cm art paper for you to paint. These will be suitable for framing to display your work when completed. Alternatively, if you have created your own design on canvas, you may bring this to the workshop and paint it.

The class size will be small, and a maximum of 12 people. Therefore, there will be plenty of time to help you 1-2-1 and answer any questions you may have.

Ubie recently relocated to London from Hong Kong. She has taught many classes in Hong Kong in the past and, more recently has taught two sold out and very popular Mandala Drawing workshops in London in Autumn 2017.

We look forward to meeting you soon and teaching you some new artistic techniques!
