Event description
Brook, in partnership with West Berkshire Council, are offering a free training on Mandatory RSE for secondary school teachers

About this event

Talking to young people about their sexual health can be a challenging experience. In this training, we draw on our 55 years of expertise of talking to young people about their sexual health. We will help you develop your confidence, knowledge and skills in relation to the new MRSE guidance, including consent and LGBT+.

By the end of the training participants will:

  • be able to summarise the mandatory requirements of RSE
  • be able to create a safe learning environment for students to discuss RSE
  • be able to identify methods to approach challenging and sensitive topics

Participants will also explore two sensitive subjects in practice;

  • Consent
  • Teaching about gender and sexual identity

Our other trainings can be found here: https://www.brook.org.uk/training/ If you have any questions about this, or other sessions, please contact us: training@brook.org.uk
