About this event

Film & Media • Film

The Mangrove Sessions are our film screenings and book club series to create a space for connection, reflection and exchange.

For our maiden edition, we will be screening two films:

  • Mangrove: The Sacrifice of a Land by Alain Chaviano Aldonza (Ecuador, 26:43) — a striking exploration of the fragile balance between people, land, and nature.
  • Women of Salt: The Resilience of Ebonyi’s Women by Jessica Chinyere Eneh (Nigeria, 19:49) — an inspiring story of strength, tradition, and survival drawn from the salt mines of southeastern Nigeria.

The series runs bi-monthly, blending screenings with thoughtful discussions that connect global stories to local realities.

This edition will hold at Yenwa Art Gallery, Victoria Island, Lagos. Registration is required for access. You can RSVP online via Eventbrite, and doors open at 3:30pm for check-in.
