I'm launching my Hallam Citizens' Climate Manifesto!

Over the past year I have organised a series of climate assemblies, bringing the issues to be discussed at COP26 back to the people of Hallam. From the discussions at these assemblies we have created our own Hallam Citizens&#x27; Climate Manifesto, detailing how the people of Sheffield Hallam believe we should tackle the climate crisis.I&#x27;m really proud to be launching the manifesto on 21st October, to talk through the issues that my constituents brought to these assemblies, the changes they want to see take place nationally and locally, and what a green recovery looks like for Sheffield.After this launch I&#x27;m going to take the manifesto to Downing Street and to world leaders at COP26, to advocate for the green future that Hallam&#x27;s residents have called for.📅 Thursday 21st October🕒 6:30pm📍 https://parliament-uk.zoom.us/j/61212553285 (Passcode: 101319)
Joining me for this launch will be a range of fantastic speakers, authors, climate activists, and more, discussing the climate crisis, how we can all impact COP26, and what&#x27;s next. Confirmed so far are:<ul><li>Julia Cushion, of Sheffield-based climate charity Hope For The Future</li><li>Chris Saltmarsh, Sheffield-based author of Burnt: Fighting for Climate Justice</li></ul>Ed Miliband MP, Labour&#x27;s Shadow Secretary for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, will also be providing a pre-recorded message for the event.
