The Children's Media Conference has teamed up with the Greater Manchester Investment Agency MIDAS to deliver a great strand of animation and kids’ content events in Manchester.
New Players, New Perspectives: 12 December 2013 Where are the alternative sources of distribution and funding? Who's making money in these new spaces and how? What are the creative opportunities and challenges in new approaches? And where do animation and interactive media meet?

Manimation daytime events are free to Greater Manchester-based SMEs, thanks to funding from MIDAS and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

To qualify for free registration GM companies must fulfil the following criteria:
- Fewer than 250 employees (full time workers employed during one year with part-time or seasonal workers being fractions of one full time worker).
- Turnover of less than Euro 50,000,000 or Balance sheet of less than Euro 43,000,000.
- Is not more than 25% owned by one or more companies not falling within the above definition.
- Sign up to two or more of the Manimation daytime events.
This Programme of events has been designed to reflect the opportunity for growth and need to build capacity within Greater Manchester SME creative and digital business community. The events are part-funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and delivered through the North West Sector Investment Programme.
