Manor Farm has been a working farm for over 600 years and the park first opened in 1979. In 1984, the Manor Farm Museum was opened. The ancient duckpond and the neighbouring St Bartholomew's Church are both mentioned in the Doomsday book. There is evidence of a Roman road running through the site.

Full body apparitions, strange smells, whispering conversations, knocks, doors slamming. Whispering coming from inside the carriage hearse that is situated in the church. Children playing and giggling. Foot steps can be heard on the gravel only to find no one there!
