Event description

Description

All alumni and friends are warmly invited to an afternoon reception at Manor Hall, on Saturday 20th July, to commemorate the installation of a portrait of the last Warden of Manor Hall, Dr Martin J. Crossley Evans, MBE, JP.

The portrait, by local artist Laurence Kell, was commissioned by the University to mark Dr. Crossley Evans' retirement last year as the longest-serving Warden in the history of the University after 100 terms in office.

Tickets are free and the reception includes refreshments, kindly provided by the University.

In addition, we will be unveiling a new honours board, commissioned by the Association, which marks the winners of the Elton House Award, given annually by the Association to recognise outstanding contribution by students and staff to the community of Manor Hall.

This event forms part of the University of Bristol's Alumni Weekend, Friday 19th - Sunday 20th July. More details of which can be found here, including tickets to other events.

In particular, Manor Hall alumni are welcomed to Churchill Hall on the Saturday evening to join alumni and friends from Churchill, Badock and Clifton Hill House for dinner. Tickets can be booked here.
