Event description

Description

Would you like to join some informal peer-to-peer networking over lunch this February? Why not attend the next Manor Royal People Forum with fellow HR professionals and team-leaders from companies located in the Business District.

At this event, our guest speaker will explore the issue of employing older workers - how businesses can adapt their HR policies to help attract, retain and retrain older workers to meet skill shortages. As the UK workforce ages and fewer younger people enter the labour market, employers will increasingly need to rely on the skills and experience of older workers if they are to remain competitive, increase productivity and growth, and avoid skills shortages in the future.

While there are more people aged 50+ in work than ever before, there are still significant numbers of older workers leaving their jobs prematurely – a decision that can affect them both financially and socially. Manor Royal has been chosen by the Department for Work and Pensions to pilot this initiative in conjunction with the National Careers Service and Coast to Capital LEP. Find out how your company can get involved.

At the event, we will also be announcing further details of the Manor Royal Careers Expo.

Go on - take a break and join us on 20 February to update your skills and share best practice over lunch. Even better, it is free to attend!
