About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 15 minutes

Come and join our community singing with soothing strains for body, mind and soul. In a fusion of sounds from East and West, we will go on a journey into the ancient wisdom of mantras from India and beyond. The sanskrit word “mantra” means to transport and purify the mind. Mantras help us to focus our attention on balancing qualities of sound vibrations, serving as a form of sound medicine. Utilising our singing voice in shared community, we lift our spirits and connect to the shining core of our Hearts where love, compassion and beauty, but also courage and strength reside. No prior knowledge of singing, mantras or Yoga is needed to participate. All are welcome!

CollectionThis event is offered on a donation basis, so please contribute what you can afford.

Rosslyn Hill Chapel is home to an open-minded Unitarian spiritual community where all faiths are welcome. The beautiful neo-Gothic Victorian building has an amazing acoustic and hosts concerts and events. It has a Steinway Grand Piano and Matthew Copley Organ. The Unitarian community draws wisdom from world religions, philosophy and the arts. We care deeply about social issues, especially concerning the homeless, refugees and environmental protection.
