Event description

Description

The Cass is a unique environment, in which practitioners of all a range of design disciplines work side-by-side with academics to produce all kinds of knowledge and outputs.

The research environment at The Cass needs capturing, and that's the purpose of this Mapping Research workshop.

At this workshop we will define the territory of research and practice at The Cass, seeking crossovers between individuals and groups; including a diagram of everyone's research and practice interests, showing the clustering of topics – in order to situate the existing and emerging research centres. We will use the map we produce, which will be a development of the first iteration produced in 2018, as a way of establishing the rationale for defining new research centres.

The third in the series of Cass Research Workshop events. The series, which covers a range or topics from practice as research to academic writing and book-publishing, is intended for Cass Staff and Postgaduate Students to gain key skills in academic research for artists, designers, writers and architects.
