Event description

Description

The Sorby Natural History Society is a forum for naturalists of all ages and abilities to meet, collect, store and share information about the natural history of the Sheffield area.

In this illustrated talk, Bob Croxton explains how Sorby has used maps to plot the distribution of Sheffield’s flora and fauna over the decades. Bob will also show how mapping the distribution of wildlife across the UK has progressed.

This event is part of our Mapping Sheffield season and accompanies the exhibition at Sheffield Central Library; running from the 1st of October until Christmas 2019.
