Mapping the Fascia
Overview
Join us for an immersive, movement-based exploration of the body’s connective tissue — the fascia — a living web that holds, separates, and unites every part of us. Through guided movement, touch, and imagery, we’ll attune to the subtle layers beneath the skin and trace the pathways that give shape, coherence, and responsiveness to our bodies.
This workshop invites you to slow down and sense the spaces in between — the places where structure meets fluidity, and where personal and collective stories are held in the tissue.
What to expect:
- Guided somatic movement and floor-based explorations
- Self massage
- Space for reflection, discussion, and integration
- DJ set from other.sounds
No prior experience required — just curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body.
Facilitators:
Emily is a northern movement practitioner, community weaver, and curious explorer of the body’s wisdom. Inspired by the rhythms and intelligence of the natural world, her practice explores the capacities we hold to sustain inner awareness while tending to and responding to the outer world. She views presence as something devotional and a fundamental force for change.
Ellie (other.leg & other.sounds) is a multimedia artist living and working in Margate. Focusing on the abstract, she advocates for self expression and compassion through art, and uses image and audio to turn intangible overwhelm into tangible understanding.
