Event description

Description

The Churches Conservation Trust, in association with Exeter Local History Society, is delighted to offer the fourth in a series of seven lunchtime lectures on Exeter's historic buildings. All these talks are given by leading specialists and take place at St Martin's Church which is tucked away in a corner of Cathedral Close between the Clarence Hotel site and Mol's - see picture. All the talks are from 1 until 2pm.

On Monday, 26 March, Dr Todd Gray, a well known and popular speaker, will be showing ancient maps as he takes us through the history of many of Exeter's ancient buildings.

Dr Gray, FRHistS, MBE, is a historian long based at Exeter University. As of 2007 he was Honorary Research Fellow of Exeter University, Chairman of the Devonshire Association and of Friends of Devon's Archives (retired 2014) and President of the Family History Society.
