Description

A MARAC is a multi-agency meeting where information is shared on the highest risk domestic abuse cases between representatives of local police, health, child protection, housing practitioners, Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs), probation and other specialists from the statutory and voluntary sectors.

This is a basics and refresher training session aimed at Dudley safeguarding professionals who may

  • Work with victims of domestic abuse
  • Work with families affected by domestic abuse
  • Attend MARAC meetings
  • Make referrals to MARAC

You will learn and understand the dynamics of a MARAC meeting, how to refer within Dudley and how to appropriately identify and assess cases of domestic abuse.

The course is three hours long and there are two different sessions available, AM and PM. If tickets for your desired session are sold out, please contact the organiser who may be able to make arrangements for additional spaces.
