Womens History Month event 2016
March – A Glasgow Women’s Library and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Film
We are pleased to be able to host the London premiere of March as part of Parliament's Women's History season.
March documents the large scale, public art event March of Women spilling out onto the streets of Bridgeton on the eve of International Women’s Day 2015. Taking Cicely Hamilton’s popular suffragette play A Pageant of Great Women as a starting point, the diverse community of women in Glasgow in 2015 is brought to the screen, celebrating the lives and achievements of Scotland’.
The film will be introduced by Alison Thewliss MP, who participated in March, and Dr Adele Patrick of the Women's Library will talk about the film and its making.
Tickets must be booked in advance to gain access. Access to Parliament is via a security check, please bring a photo ID (Driving licence/passport). For further information http://www.parliament.uk/visiting/access/
