New date for the special Memorial Concert to celebrate the lives of Hannah, Saskia, and Jonathan - 10 April 2022

About this event

Marcinowicz - Goldstein Memorial Concert

Following the postponement of the original Celebration due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have now been given the all clear by RAM to announce a new date for the Concert. The Marcinowicz family is proud and delighted to announce that this special Memorial Concert, to celebrate the lives of our daughter and sister Hannah, our son-in-law Jonathan, and our grand-daughter Saskia, will now take place on Sunday 10 April 2022.

The concert will take place at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London, where Hannah studied for three years, and will be held in the famous Duke's Hall.

Doors will open at 1.30pm, with the concert starting at 2.00pm and finishing at approximately 4.30pm.

This special concert will feature various aspects of Hannah, Jonathan and Saskia’s lives, and will include live performances from some of the incredible musicians who were touched by their relationship with Hannah and Jonathan. The concert is open to anyone who knew or worked with Hannah and Jonathan. However, as the Hall seating capacity is 328, entry will be by ticket only, which will be confirmed electronically when you click the REGISTER link. As spaces are limited, please register early to make sure you don’t miss out on what will be a beautiful and moving tribute to three incredible people.

Hannah’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/hannahsax will be regularly updated with all the details of the concert as they are confirmed. Everyone is encouraged to share this information to help spread the word about this special event, as there may be a number of people who will want to attend the concert, especially their Facebook friends, whose personal contact details are unavailable at this time.

MARCINOWICZ-GOLDSTEIN Royal Academy of Music Award

We are also pleased to confirm that the Marcinowicz-Goldstein Royal Academy of Music Award, established to help us to celebrate Hannah's, Jonathan's and Saskia’s lives, has already provided financial support to one student during the 2020/21 Academic Year. The Award continues to be open for donations, so that more students can receive help with their studies.

This award recognises musical achievement in both saxophone and composition, and provides financial assistance to disadvantaged music students who may otherwise not be able to afford to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

The Royal Academy of Music has very kindly set up a Gift Page for the Award in Hannah and Jonathan’s names. All donations, however large or small, go towards helping the Royal Academy of Music saxophone and composition students achieve their full potential.

Donations to the ‘Marcinowicz-Goldstein Royal Academy of Music Award' can be made as follows:

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 10 April 2022, when after such a long delay, we can finally celebrate the lives of Hannah, Jonathan and Saskia, three beautiful people who were taken from us all far too soon.

Thank you and best wishes,

Leszek, Chris and Adam Marcinowicz
