Event description

Description

A chance to view the site and hear about its uses in the past and how it is being used today.

From the early history of the site before 1700, through to Industrialisation, WW2 and the establishment of the Nature Reserve in 2007 the talks will reveal the many and varied uses of the site over time. Two tours will start at opposite ends of the site and run simultaneously. Tour 1 will start at the Pond gates (near the end of Parkinson Drive/end of the Cromar Way footpath), Tour 2 will start at the bottom of the Nature Reserve (end of the footpath in Meteor Way or through the last arch of the viaduct). Both tours will start at 2pm.

Tours will last approx. 45 minutes, and include times for questions. There will be Refreshments (cold drinks and biscuits) at the end of the tour, donations are welcome.
