Marcus Rediker: Remembering History from Below

Marcus Rediker is Distinguished Professor of Atlantic History at the University of Pittsburgh. His "histories from below" have won numerous awards and have been translated into twenty languages worldwide. He is the co-author (with Peter Linebaugh) of I ribelli dell'Atlantico: La storia perduta di un'utopia libertarian (Feltrinelli) and author of La nave negriera (I1 Mulino). His latest book, Freedom Ship: The Uncharted History of Escaping Slavery by Sea, was published by Viking Penguin in May 2025 and will be translated into Italian by Eleuthera.
