María & Aurélien in Liverpool
Sat, 25 Mar 2017, 11:00 – Sun, 26 Mar 2017, 17:00 GMT
We are very excited to announce a two day Lindy Hop workshop in Liverpool with the fabulous teachers
María Ferrer and Aurélien Darbellay from Barcelona. I (Felix) have met these guys several times both in Geneva and in Barcelona and they are some of the most exciting, fun and energetic people/dancers/teachers I have met. I just love their style of teaching and dancing and I can’t wait to have them in Liverpool.
This workshop can be booked as individual days with the Saturday catered towards intermediate level dancers and the Sunday aimed at intermediate advanced level dancers. Or you book them both together and join us for a little social on Saturday to try out that new material!
The tickets will go on sale on the 6th of February at 5pm and will cost £40 per person per day or £70 (pp) for the two days or £70 per day if you sign up as a couple.
Both days will be held in Liverpool. Location of workshops to be announced closer to the date
Some more words about the teachers:
Maria and Aurélien come from different and complementary horizons. She fell in love with dance and movement when a little girl; he was born crazy about rhythm and music. They both discovered lindy hop in Barcelona, the city they adopted as their home. They started dancing together a bit more than three years ago and, nowadays, they are full time dancers and teachers in Barcelona. Both in their daily training and in their classes, they focus on musicality, creativity, rhythm and flow. They are co-founders of G-swing, an association promoting swing dancing and music in Geneva (Switzerland), which organizes monthly workshops and a yearly international festival, the shaKe that laKe. ESDC 2015 was their first international competition. They were awarded the 2nd prize in the Open Classic Showcase Division for their routine danced to Catherine Russell's rendition of the Darktown Strutters' Ball. They've also placed several times as Jack and Jill competitors in internationally renewed festival (ESDC, Swim Out Costa Brava, Move Your Bottom, etc.).
