Description

The Great Daffodil Appeal 2019 Scottish Parliament Reception

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to a reception sponsored by Gordon MacDonald MSP celebrating the work of Marie Curie.

Marie Curie’s annual fundraiser, the Great Daffodil Appeal, takes place throughout March and we are hoping that more people than ever before will join us by wearing a daffodil pin this year.

Behind every daffodil, there’s a story; on the night you’ll be joined by people from across Scotland and you’ll hear people’s stories about what the daffodil means to them.

We’ll also be highlighting the many people who are still missing out. Every five minutes, someone in Scotland dies without getting the care and support they need at the end of their life. We’re working to improve that. We’re working to improve the lives of all people living with a terminal illness, their carers and families.

Wearing the daffodil pin unites millions of people together who believe dying people should get the care and support they deserve. We hope you’ll join them and show your support this March.

Gordon MacDonald will be joined by Jeane Freeman MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport (TBC) and others to tell their stories about their experiences and the work of Marie Curie.

Guests will be welcomed with a drinks reception from 6pm.
