MARINE BIOLOGIST FOR A DAY!

Organised by the Marine Biological Association and The Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science for British Science Week 2016.
This day is for GCSE and A-level students and equivalent with an interest in marine biology.
Join us for a day of interactive workshops and demonstrations with real scientists. Booking is essential and places usually go fast!
Talk to professional scientists and university students working in the field and get career advice and inspiration. Visit a working laboratory and the National Marine Biological Library, and develop wider scientific skills. Participants will increase knowledge of ecology, research techniques, microscopy, DNA, scientific processes and more. All at one of the oldest marine biological Laboratories in the world.
Places are limited to 5 per school/college - When registering, select a ticket per student - and enter your details in the registration page. You do not need to register accompanying adults.
The event is free for MBA members and teachers and guardians who are members can bring a group for free and there is no donation required of accompanying adults. For non-members, we request a donation of £3.00 per participant, payable on the day or by selecting the 'Donation' ticket option at registration (note you also need to register your participants. Please contact us if this may prevent you from attending.
