Plymouth’s first Marine Tech Trade Expo will bring together decision makers involved in the latest marine innovations in blue technology under one roof.
The event aims to increase the number and scale of Blue Tech businesses in the city and south west and to support marine businesses to innovate, create a competitive edge and ultimately grow; creating high value knowledge-based jobs.
Delegates will be able to listen to inspiring keynote speakers talk about new frontiers of satellite applications, big data, future ship building, marine research, marine biogeochemistry and ocean observation, maritime cyber security, Oceansgate: Plymouth’s newest world-class hub for marine industries, as well as presentations on exporting by UKTI.
The day includes a tour of the state-of-the-art Marine Station and live demonstrations of some of the UK’s most advanced autonomous surface vehicles, research vessels and blue technology in operation. The tour will conclude with networking opportunities alongside a Plymouth Gin drinks reception sponsored by Plymouth University Marine Institute.

Join us for an evening (6pm-9pm) of networking with relevant industry experts and scientists at the Marine Station, whilst enjoying a BBQ and drink.
This event, sponsored by the Mayflower 400 business programme and Plymouth Marine Laboratory, will bring together delegates from the Marine Tech Expo and the Marine Measurement Forum to discuss measuring, exploiting, protecting and operating in the world’s oceans.
