UPDATE: General admission tickets have sold out BUT DO NOT WORRY - we'll be opening on-the-door tickets from 9pm for $20. There's a bar nearby you can wait at if you want. We do recommend trying to get there as early as you can if you'd like to sing as slots fill up fast and we want everyone to be a star!
You can also join the waitlist for tickets. We'll email out if any more tickets become available in advance!
Marioke is returing to GDC this year at our spiritual home at Encore Karaoke in San Francisco - and GOOD GOD we want you all to be there.
• When: Thursday 21st March, 2019, 8:00pm – 1:00am,
• Where: Encore Karaoke, 1550 California St # 2, San Francisco, CA 94109, USA, The World, The Universe.
• How much: General tickets - $15 advance // $20 on the door (subject to capacity) VIP Sing Now tickets - $50 advance
Marioke has been described by us as the best night you’ll have at GDC. More than 450 classic karaoke tracks re-written to be about videogames, over 100 of which will be making their San Francisco debut along with our new, professional software which makes us look as if we know what we’re doing.
It’s even capable of displaying corporate logos for event sponsors – which you'll see plenty of with our brilliant sponsor YOOZOO Games.
Come join friends and future friends in a night of singing-your-hearts out to amazing tunes peppered with some quite terrible puns as we hurtle towards the final day of GDC.
THIS IS IMPORTANT: Tickets are super limited. We’re selling 90 tickets in advance, which will guarantee admission for the first hour. After that, your ticket will still be valid, though you may need to wait in line as the venue operates a strict admissions policy. Friends who haven’t bought tickets in advance can pay $20 on the door, subject to capacity.
Sign-ups for songs will start when the doors open so get there early to book your place on stage. If you want to see the current songlist it's online here. There'll be drinks, of course, and plenty of opportunity to #network, but there's a lot of that sort of thing elsewhere during GDC. This is the only place you'll hear your friends sing Total Eclipse of the Heart about Mario Kart, guaranteed.
This year’s Marioke could not take place without the generous sponsorship of YOOZOO Games.

Having published many successful games across multiple platforms to over 1 billion registered players with franchises including Legacy of Discord – Furious Wings and the League of Angels series, its continued focus is to create memorable moments for its players, bringing them new experiences through world-class intellectual property.
Marioke operates a strict safe space policy, which can be viewed in full
here,
but the long and short is that Marioke is the best time for everyone and we won't tolerate any shenanigans. If you're there and feel uncomfortable, find one of us and we'll sort it out.
Please do follow @singmarioke on the night for ticketing updates. And do bring your friends – we can’t wait to see you again.
About Marioke:
Marioke was created in 2011 by Simon Byron, Ste Curran and Ann Scantlebury, hosts of UK videogame radio show One Life Left. It's now a fixture at studio parties, game launches and conferences across the world. This will be their sixth show at GDC, and, invariably, the best show of their lives.

FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Ages 21+ only, sorry. Bring ID.
Why do ticket holders have to be in the venue by 9.00PM?
GDC is amazing chaos and plans change all the time. But that meant that the first couple of shows we did were somehow both sell-outs and half empty, with hundreds of people who couldn't get in and nothing we could do about it. For the last few years we've allowed people without tickets to pay on the door later in the evening until the venue is full, which means more people get to Marioke even if they haven't managed to get a ticket.
The other reason is that otherwise you'll miss out on an hour of A+ karaoke, obviously.
I don't have a ticket. Can I get one on the door?
See above! Turn up at a little before 9.00PM and (at least based on previous years) it should work out.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Of course! There's a contact form on our site.
What's the refund policy?
If you discover you can't make it after buying a ticket please refund it as soon as you can -- you'll be able to do that up to seven days before the event and we'll pass your space on to someone on the wait list.
