Event description

With teacher workload and mental health issues at record levels, ideas that work in the classroom to alleviate workload and support teacher wellbeing are essential. In this course, we will offer you a range of strategies and insights into ‘what teachers can do in the classroom’ and ‘why and how’ they work. We will also help you to manage your own wellbeing.

This course, designed for every teacher, is full of resrearch informed practical ideas which deliberately mirror the teaching process. Past events have proved many school leaders attend and take strategies away to adapt for their own setting.

These classroom strategies, supported by a wide range of research is led by Ross Morrison McGill with psychological insight supported by leading psychologist, Dr. Tim O’Brien.

Teacher Feedback:

"There’s so much out there for teachers - from research papers to silver bullets - that it’s easy to start jumping on various bandwagons. Mark Plan Teach is rather like having that wise old Sergeant-Major by your side. Lots of experience distilled into practical wisdom that actually helps. Unlike that wise old Sergeant-Major, there’s no cynicism!" (Piers)

School Leader Feedback:

"Mark. Plan. Teach is honest and refreshing, recommend for everybody that works with young people in education. MPT will enable you to reflect on successful strategies that will add the most value to your work and its impact on your students. Ross is straight to the point and tells it as it is, whilst presenting a solution to how it should and could be ... and how the essence of teaching can be re-framed in a MPT approach." (Nick Heard)
