MARKET RESEARCH FOR BEGINNERS
Chris Hudd from STAR Commercial Academy will describe the process of finding out if an innovative idea or technology has a market and would attract customers. He would suggest practical tips of how to do the first steps in the all-important task of market engagement.
Chris Hudd has worked in senior commercial roles across Europe for companies including Kraft, Guinness, Seagram and Diageo. He currently works with STAR Commercial academy, an organisation which works develop unique, business-changing solutions to companies across the globe.

Russell Thom, a Patents Director from European Patent and Trademark Attorneys, Murgitroyd & Company, will discuss the different types of IP, examples on how to use them, costs and searching for IP on the internet.
Russell Thom, Russell Thom joined Murgitroyd & Company in 2000 and was appointed as a Director, Patents in 2008, having a leading role in the management of the company’s life sciences team, as well as responsibility for risk management issues across the company.
