Market Selection Workshop - Gatwick (151216)
Thursday, 15 December 2016 from 13:30 to 16:30 (GMT)
Identifying and prioritising overseas countries
Companies have limited time and resource to allocate to a potentially large number of overseas markets. Prioritising is therefore essential. Understanding your target market is critical to developing a successful market entry strategy.
By attending this workshop, you will learn how to identify the key criteria for your business that will differentiate potential markets and enable you to focus on those countries most likely to give you the strongest return.
You will be shown how to structure and maximise a market visit to make important decisions such as whether and when to proceed with a particular market, how much to invest in resource in order to service the market, and decide on the best route to market for you. There will also be advice on how to price, promote,
position and adapt your offering.
You will be guided on research to understand potential customers, identify their needs, buying behaviours and attitudes to new suppliers.
Topics covered in the workshop:
- The need for market selection;
- How to research;
- Follow through and implementation;
- Use of fairs and exhibitions.
Eligibility: This workshop is open to all companies and is particularly relevant to those responsible for research and market selection. It is suitable for those new to international trade and also for more experienced staff who would like to review their approach to the management of agents and distributors.
The demand is out there, you should be too.
