Is there on-site parking?

There is no designated on-site parking. We request that you do not drive up Downfield Road  as it will be very busy with people entering our site. Free parking is available in Cainscross Car Park (GL5 4JQ), or in Stratford Park (GL5 4AF), both are within 5-10 minutes' walk of the school.

Where do we go on arrival?

Please enter our site on foot via Downfield Road.  You will be directed to the school Dining Hall to sign in and collect a guide to the evening and tickets for your talk(s). For the 5.15pm talk only, please go straight to the Lecture Theatre to check-in and collect your tickets.

Will I be able to attend a talk if I haven't booked a ticket?

Unfortunately we have restricted space for the talks so, to manage numbers we will only be able to admit you if you have booked a ticket. If there is spare capacity we might be able to give you last minute entry but cannot guarantee this.

Question 6

What will be covered in the talk?

Louise Harris, Head of Marling Sixth Form will be joined by some current students who will share their experiences of what life is like here.  You will find out what to expect when you join and about the opportunities that are available.  Slides will be made available on our website after the event.

If I miss the talk I have booked, will I be able to attend a later one?

Do I have to go to one of the talks?

No.  If you want to take a look around our site, speak to specialist teachers  and get a feel for what Marling Sixth Form is like, please reserve an Admission Only ticket.  Additional tickets for the talks are required as spaces are more limited in our Lecture Theatre.

Question 9

The talks are fully booked - how can I see one of the talks?

Accepted Answer

Places may become available in a talk on the evening once all ticket holders have been admitted, but there is no guarantee of this. Slides from the talk will be made available after the event on our website.  Please do still come along - there is plenty to see in the subject areas!
