Event description

Description

Blackwell's is delighted to announce that throughout the Oxford Literary Festival, Saturday 25th March - Sunday 2nd April, we will be hosting a series of ‘Marquee Moments' free talks in our Blackwell's Festival Marquee. Guest speakers will introduce the topic of their book in a brief
30 minute talk that is free to attend.

We are thrilled to welcome Fiona Stafford, Professor of English Language and Literature at University of Oxford, to discuss her bestselling book 'The Long, Long Life of Trees'.

'The Long, Long Life of Trees' is a lyrical tribute to the diversity of trees, their physical beauty, their special characteristics and uses, and their ever-evolving meanings. Fiona will be exploring how trees are so entwined with human experience that diverse species have inspired their own stories, myths, songs, poems, paintings, and spiritual meanings. Don't miss out on hearing about one of our bestselling books of 2016.
