Description

Blackwell's are delighted to announce that throughout the Oxford Literary Festival, Saturday 25th March- Sunday 2nd April, we will be hosting a series of 'Marquee Moments' free talks in our Blackwell's Festival Marquee. Guest speakers will introduce the topic of their book in a brief 30 minute talk that is free to attend.

We are pleased to welcome our first speaker of the series, Peter H Wilson, the Chichele Professor of History of War at the University of Oxford, who will be discussing his book 'The Holy Roman Empire- A Thousand Years of Europe's History'. Peter will be exploring how the Empire worked, why it was so important and how it changed over its existence.

The Blackwell's Festival Marquee will be located in the Clarendon Quad of the Bodleian Library. This event is free to attend and everyone is welcome. Seating is limited for all talks in the marquee, so please arrive early to ensure a seat. If you require any assistance please contact us at events.oxford@blackwell.co.uk.
