Event description

Description

Blackwell's are delighted to announce that throughout the Oxford Literary Festival, Saturday 25th March- Sunday 2nd April, we will be hosting a series of 'Marquee Moments' free talks in our Blackwell's Festival Marquee. Guest speakers will introduce the topic of their book in a brief 30 minute talk that is free to attend.

We are thrilled to be joined by Roman Krznaric who will be discussing his brand new book 'Carpe Diem Regained', before it's official publication on Thursday 6th April . We’ve all heard the saying ‘seize the day’; it is one of the oldest pieces of life advice in Western history. But what does it really mean? And how can we use it to jump-start our lives? This event is a free taster session, where you can hear all about Roman's fascinating book before he appears in the bookshop for his full event on Thursday 27th April.

The Blackwell's Festival Marquee will be located in the Clarendon Quad of the Bodleian Library. This event is free to attend and everyone is welcome. Seating is limited for all talks in the marquee, so please arrive early to ensure a seat. If you require any assistance please contact us at events.oxford@blackwell.co.uk.
