Your wedding day is one of the most important and precious moments in your lives. The task of the Church goes beyond the provision of a building and someone to conduct the service. We want to help you to have a fulfilling and lasting relationship and to pray for you. I hope this letter is helpful in laying out some of the practical matters as we get closer to the big day.

You are invited to come to a day with other wedding couples, to think about your relationship as you move into a new stage of your lives together. We use materials called ‘Marriage by Design’ produces by the charity ‘Care for the Family’ (https://www.careforthefamily.org.uk/). We do not recommend bringing friends or relatives with you, as this is a day for you as a couple. We invite you to attend this because your marriage matters to us, on the big day, and beyond into your lives together. This will be on Saturday, 26th March 2022 in St John the Evangelist Church, Denby Lane, Upper Denby, HD8 8UN, 10am to 4pm.

The day includes a free lunch and refreshments - please let us know about about any dietary requirements; booking is essential, and is given priority to couples who are getting married in one of our own churches.
