About this event

Community • City & Town

Directed and produced by visionary artist Jumana Manna, Foragers is a poetic hybrid documentary: part fiction, part archival, and part courtroom drama about Palestinians who forage wild za’atar (thyme) and akkoub (thumble thistle), plants now criminalised under Israeli nature-protection laws.

Set across the Golan Heights, Galilee, and Jerusalem, the film weaves intimate footage of elders gathering herbs by hand with haunting drone shots that mirror the state’s oversight from above.

This community screening is a collaboration between Marsm UK and Age UK City of London, as part of A Season of Arabic Culture, aiming to share culture from the Arabic-speaking world to those who live, work and pass through the City of London. Marsm will be joining Age UK City of London during their weekly Monday coffee afternoon at Golden Lane Community Centre.
