Join us for a rare opportunity to explore Martello Tower P in Felixstowe, as part of Heritage Open Days 2025.
Take a guided tour inside this historic coastal defence tower and see into the underground ROC Bunker—a fascinating Cold War relic, visible from the entrance but not accessible for safety reasons. Come and explore our brand new Martello exhibition, highlighting the tower’s architecture and military history.
Enjoy free, family-friendly architecture activities, including model making and sketching with a local architect.
We’ll also be joined by local stallholders, including Suffolk Archives, offering their famous badge-making and colouring activities—perfect for visitors of all ages.
🔹 Booking is essential for tower tours– 20 people max per time slot– Limited walk-in spaces may be available on the day
⚠️ Please note: Due to the historic nature of the site, there is limited accessibility, and some areas may not be suitable for visitors with mobility issues. Also, note there are no toilets in the Tower. The nearest public toilets are a short 1 - 4 minute walk away.
