Is there parking?

Yes. We have an agreement with The George to use their Car Park. Additional free parking will be available at Moorlands Car Park, a 4 minute walk from the Parish Hall.

Is the hall accessibility friendly?

Yes. There is an entrance to the side of the building suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs, etc.

Question 3

Do I have to book / reserve a space?

Accepted Answer

No. You have the option to, and that helps us to understand when the peak times will be, though you will absolutely be welcomed to the event with or without booking.

What time will the event be open to the public?

Accepted Answer

The event will be open from 10am - 1pm. You may come at any time, and stay as long as you need to, in order to speak to all the exhibitors you wish to.

Who is this event open to?

EVERYONE IS WELCOME. This event is open to everyone - irrespective of whether you live in Martock, or are a customer of Yeovil Job Centre - or not. Whether you're ready for paid work now, or need some support to help you get there, you will find something for you at this event!

Do I need to bring my CV?

If you have your CV with you, it will enable employers to begin to progress you quicker should you wish. Please don't worry however, as you will always be able to provide employers with this at a later date.

Who has arranged this event?

A fantastic collaboration between Yeovil Job Centre, and Martock Job Club - has enabled us to put on this wonderful event for the local community.

I don't live in Martock - will there be something there for me?

Absolutely, yes! We have employers from across the local area in attendance on the day, as well as Somerset-wide career support services, who can provide career guidance and support should you wish.

Question 9

I don't feel ready to start work immediately - should I attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We understand that people are at different stages of their individual journey. If you're not currently at the stage when you're ready to step into paid employment, you can still speak to one of our support services in attendance, who can help you to progress at the pace that's right for you.
