Meeting with Pippa Heylings MP
WHEN: Saturday 5th July 2025
TIME: 1:00 - 4:00 pm
WHERE: Foxton Village Hall, Hardman Road, CB22 6RN
Achieving the scale and speed of climate and nature action we need requires bold government leadership. While the newly elected government has made strong environmental commitments, we are also seeing worrying signs of backsliding. At the same time, an increasingly organised, billionaire-backed anti-net-zero movement is working to erode public trust and reverse progress.
It is crucial to amplify our voices, demonstrate widespread public support, and apply pressure for ambitious and fair climate policies. Politicians respond to constituents’ concerns, but they claim they aren’t hearing from us. That needs to change.
Why Now?
In October 2024, three months after the election, Greenpeace and The Climate Coalition (TCC) organised a mass lobby to build MP relationships and secure climate commitments. One year later, we are escalating this effort with an even larger event.
The Mass Lobby 2025 has two key parts:
- 5th July (1:00 - 4:00 pm): Constituency gathering and meeting with Pippa Heylings MP (South Cambridgeshire)
- 9th July (10:30 - 11:00 am): Westminster gathering, echoing the 2019 ‘Time is Now’ lobby - see separate event posting. Mass Lobby (National) Event: Meeting with Pippa Heylings MP.
Goals
- Show MPs that their constituents care about climate and nature and secure commitments.
- Build long-term, constituency-based power by engaging new people in the movement.
Political Asks for MP
- Tell us what you have done this year to speak up for climate action and nature protection
- Commit to using your voice in Parliament to lobby for investment in climate action and nature
- Meet with us again in 6 months to keep us informed of the action you are taking.
Your MP wants to hear from you. Do join us to to show her that you demand climate action.
