Event description

Description

Mass Spectrometers are an important component of the A-level core specification and have a huge range of exciting applications from development of pharmaceuticals to the dating of ancient rocks but, the theory of how they work can be a challenging concept to teach in an exciting way. This session is designed to couple theory with hands on experience of mass spectrometry to help reinvigorate your teaching. Royal Holloway’s Department of Earth Sciences is offering the chance to use our world-class facilities. There is no charge for this event but space is limited as we need to get you all into our labs!
