Event description

Description

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars at The University of Edinburgh is celebrating its first year with a Scottish/African ceilidh! Our first year has been a whirlwind of lessons and wonderful moments and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate with our Scholars, partners, friends, and those interested in learning more about the Scholars Program.

Music will be provided by the Rise Kagona, Andy Cook and the ceilidh trio from the Robert Fish Band. There will be a cash bar.

This event is part of the University's Africa Week celebrations.

About the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, the University of Edinburgh will provide full scholarships to students from Africa with great academic and leadership potential but few educational opportunities. On top of the scholarship, the Scholars Program facilitates transformative leadership programming to inspire and support Scholars in making change change in their communities and countries on their return home. http://www.ed.ac.uk/global/mastercard-foundation
