Speedy Swimming has provided high level quality triathlon and front crawl swim coaching for over 20 years. We’ve coached all levels of triathletes and masters swimmer, plus many beginners.
Starting with a front crawl swim technique video analysis at Guildford Lido , you'll learn visually what stroke corrections and technique drills you need to do to swim more efficiently and with more speed.
Front crawl technique swim lessons for triathletes, masters and open water swimmers. For all levels from beginner to advanced, and sprint to ironman triathlons and channel relay swimmers
The Lido is heated to around 19–20°C, and you’re welcome to wear a wetsuit.
SWOLF swim sets for stroke efficiency
Aerobic conditioning work
Pacing skills and pace control
Stroke rate optimisation (using a simple ramp test)
Accurate training zones with a CSS test
Early-season open water skills and simulations in prep for spring
You'll then progress with 4 swim lessons in the 50m pool. Here you’ll put into practice the techniques highlighted in your endless pool session.
This will help ensure you’re doing the drills correctly and have some progression from them and into other aspects of your front crawl technique.
We teach our swim clients in the water, so that we can see all angles and aspects of the phases of front crawl, and demonstrate technique drills and stroke corrections to help you improve faster!
Availability:
We offer one hour sessions during the week and weekends, including day times:
- Monday to Friday 0900 to 1800
- Saturday mornings

These sessions are for all levels of front crawl swimmer:
- Triathletes - sprint to Ironman distance and beyond
- Beginners who can swim 25 metres
- To those wanting to improve their open water skills and techniques from 750m to 14km swims.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Each session lasts for one hour and will include a 5 minute warm up and includes a coach analysis of your front crawl stroke technique above and underwater.
You’ll then receive your personal swim drills after each swim lesson by email for you to practice in between swim lessons.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring your own water bottle, swim cap and goggles.

Paddles, goggles, pull buoy and fins
