Course Aim:

To empower activity providers and care teams with the confidence and skills to integrate physical activity into activities across care settings, improving wellbeing, engagement, and enjoyment.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this interactive online training, participants will be able to:

• Describe the importance of physical activity in care and its impact on wellbeing.
• Identify opportunities to embed movement into a wide variety of everyday activities
• Adapt physical activities to suit all physical and cognitive abilities, including dementia and limited mobility.
• Confidently integrate inclusive movement into activity programmes.

- Delivered live by a qualified physical activity specialist and an expert in activity provision, with extensive experience in the physical activity and care sectors

- Includes video demonstrations, breakout sessions, practical tasks, downloadable handouts, and live Q&A

Certificates of attendance will only be issued to attendees who attend for the whole of the session.This course will be delivered via ZOOM and will include, presentations, discussion and reflection, case studies, videos and demonstrations. Please make sure that you are familiar with using ZOOM.
