What will be covered?

In line with UCL’s identity as London’s Global University, UCL research and expertise inform policymaking across the globe, and engaging with international networks and multilateral organizations is one of our primary avenues for impact. However, this process is not always straightforward, and creating sustainable avenues for policy impact can be challenging.

This masterclass will equip you with an understanding of what makes an impactful collaboration with multilateral organisations in the education space. It will offer practical insights for establishing connections and mutual priorities, and include examples of successful methods of engagement with these organisations.

With a particular focus on the challenges of sustainability, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your own collaborations with international organisations and education policy actors. Colleagues from the Institute of Education will share their experiences, answer your questions, and point to additional resources.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the session, you will be able to:

Conceptualise individual paths to engaging with and influencing multilateral organisations in the field of education policy.
Recognize the relevance of international public engagement as a way of working, rather than as an isolated event.
Identify key actions and best practices for creating inclusive and sustainable collaborations with multilateral organisations.
Understand the avenues for policy influence that multilateral organisations offer.
