Event Information
About this Event
The final part of our personal finance series hosted by Halo Financial and joined by an expert panel to help understand the UK property market, navigate tax obligations, explore ways to purchase using funds from New Zealand and other implications for kiwis living in the UK managing properties.
Buying and selling property, whether you're looking for a rental investment or a new home is a daunting task, even more so when you're doing it in another country and need to consider your long term plans including whether you are considering relocating home to New Zealand in the future.
Already own property in New Zealand and looking to purchase a second property in the UK? Wanting to keep property here but relocating back to New Zealand? We cover your tax implications and ways to best manage your funds in all scenarios.
There is a lot of information out there on buying and selling property - this Masterclass gives a specific insight into navigating that information as a kiwi.
In this Member Masterclass we explore:
- State of the London and home counties property market for 2021
- Stamp Duty Land Tax
- Tax implications of buying or owning rental properties for kiwis
- What it means for you if you already own property in NZ
- Options for using KiwiSaver (or other NZ funds) to purchase in the UK
- Capital Gains Tax - your varying obligations as a resident or non-resident
- How to manage large money transfers between NZ and the UK for property purchases
This Masterclass in the final part of our three-part personal finance series hosted by Halo Financial.
