Join us this summer for a masterclass with Indian chef, Chetna Makan.
Chetna burst onto our screens on the ‘The Great British Bake Off’ in 2014 and since has gone on to write nine cookbooks and create her popular Youtube channel ‘Food with Chetna.’ Her writing appears regularly across British food media, in Good Food, The Guardian’s Feast and Waitrose Food, amongst others. Chetna’s most recent cookbook, Easy Indian Vegetarian, was published in July last year.
We are lucky to be welcoming Chetna for a masterclass in sandwich making, just as she nears the 100th episode of her hit social media series 'Between the Slices (which has inspired her legions of fans to spruce up the usual classics). Forget ham and cheese, Chetna's creations have included Sweetcorn pakora, Fried chicken with zingy slaw, Keralan prawn, Smokey aubergine and Ghee tadka dal.
So if you want to know how you could improve a classic or create the new classic of the future, this is your opportunity to learn from one of the best.
Adults and children over 13 years old will watch Chetna create a perfect example, explaining the science behind each decision as she goes along, before having a go at making their own and sitting down to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
Price is per participant. Adults accompanying a minor but not taking part, do not need to purchase a ticket.
