Masterclass: The Economics and Behavioural Science of Happiness

This Masterclass is part of the RES Doctoral Training Programme.

"I will try to explain some of the findings in the modern work on the economics of happiness. As a student, I liked it when lecturers conveyed the key ideas and did not obsess about technical methods (which I usually preferred to work through in my own time). So that is how I tend to teach -- using the Socratic method far more than most lecturers. Humans learn best through discussion. Hence I will concentrate on trying to answer students' questions and aim to lead an open discussion on the intellectual issues." Andrew Oswald
